Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
One Wed (“we”, “us”) is a wedding planning app for couples. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Questions or requests: support@onewed.app.
Whose information we hold
- Couples and their invited partners or helpers (“members”) who create an account.
- Wedding guests and suppliers whose details a couple adds to their planner, and guests who RSVP or sign up on a couple’s guest page.
For guest and supplier details, the couple decides what to add and is responsible for having a reason to collect it. We store and process it on their behalf so they can plan their wedding.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in plain text), and two-factor authentication settings. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Planner content: wedding details, guest lists (names, contact details, RSVPs, plus-ones, dietary requirements, seating and room allocations), tasks, budget items, supplier contacts, documents and photos you upload, and messages you send to guests.
- Guest page activity: RSVPs, dietary requirements and notes guests submit, and contact details from the “Keep me posted” form.
- Payments: your plan and billing status. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure page and are held by Stripe, not by us.
- Technical information: basic logs (such as sign-in times and error reports, including the page and browser type when something goes wrong) needed to run and secure the service.
Dietary requirements can reveal health or religious information. We use them only to help the couple plan catering and seating, and only the couple and their members can see them.
How we use it
- To provide the planner, guest page, RSVPs, reminders, calendar feeds and emails you ask us to send.
- To manage your account, trial and subscription, and to keep the service secure (for example, two-factor authentication and fraud prevention).
- To read quotes you upload with AI, when you choose to use quote comparison.
- To answer support requests and tell you about important changes to the service.
We don’t sell personal information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your planner content to market to you or your guests.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run One Wed. They process information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloud hosting and database (where your planner is stored).
- Stripe, for payments and billing.
- Resend, for sending emails such as invitations, reminders and sign-in emails.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- AI providers, only when you use quote comparison, to read the quotes you upload.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and privacy commitments. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Who can see your planner
Only the members of your couple can see your planner. Guests can see only your public guest page (if you turn it on) and their own RSVP. Each couple’s information is kept separate from every other couple’s.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that keep each couple’s data separate, private file storage, and optional two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected people of any eligible data breach as the law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep your planner while your account is active. If your plan ends, your planner becomes read-only and we keep it so you can come back to it. You can ask us to delete your account and planner at any time, and we will do so except where we need to keep certain records (for example, payment records) to meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your information in the app.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
- Guests can ask the couple, or us, to update or remove their details.
To make a request or a complaint, email support@onewed.app. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Cookies
We use only the essential browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. To understand how many people visit our public pages (such as the home and pricing pages), we count visits without cookies: we keep the page, the site that referred you and your device type, plus a one-way code made from your connection and browser that changes every day, so we can’t recognise you from one day to the next.
Children
One Wed is for adults planning a wedding. It isn’t intended for children under 16.
Changes
If we make significant changes to this policy, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect.
